What to expect at your appointment!

Before…

We suggest pet parents to work with their dogs before coming to the salon. If you are trying to get your pet used to the grooming process, we recommend start desensitizing them. Start by touching their paws, face, ears, and tails and every time you do it offer a treat. Many dogs are extremely sensitive to the touch of their legs and feet, specially for nail trimming. Touching and grabbing their paws constantly, will desensitize them and make the grooming process easier.

We do not recommend long walks before an appointment, as a bath /haircut service lasts an average of 2 hours, and bringing a tired dog will make the grooming process annoying and stressful for the dog. A brief walk for number one or two is ok.

During…

Once you are in the salon, your dog will go through a grooming assessment process. We will look at their eyes, nose, ears, butt area, nails, fur and skin, to detect any condition that needs to be addressed. We will recommend the best service that targets all the dogs needs. This is the moment that the pet parent should disclose any medical condition the groomer should be aware of about the pet client. Once the service has been agreed on, the pet parent will sign a release form to start the grooming service. Pet parents will be given an estimated time when the service will be completed.

After…

We will call or send a text message to the pet parent 20 minutes before ending the grooming service to let them know the exact time their pets will be ready for pick up. We can hold the pet client up to 30min after we send the notification for pick up . In case the owner doesn’t pick up the dog within 30 min, then a daycare fee will be added to the service ($35). We do not use cages, therefore picking up your pet as soon as we call you would help us a lot.
